スペースX ドラゴン補給船の打ち上げを3月末に延期 [Response]

20143月13日、スペースX社は今月16日に予定していた国際宇宙ステーション（ISS）ドラゴン補給船運用3号機の打ち上げを延期すると発表した。新たな打ち上げ予定日は3月30日となる。

Today: SpaceX-3 Launch Delayed: Due to contamination found on the beta cloth shields in the SpaceX-3 unpressurized external trunk, the decision was made to move the launch of SpX-3 to later in the month. The exact day of launch will be assessed by ground teams. Specialists are reviewing options for addressing the contamination issue on the beta cloth shields.

Two of six electrically powered payloads aboard the Dragon are mounted in the trunk section -- a first for this mission -- and engineers were concerned the contamination might "outgas" in orbit and cause problems for the station-bound hardware.

延期理由はドラゴン宇宙船非与圧部の断熱材に汚染が見つかったためということのようです。軌道上でアウトガスが発生する可能性があるため、対処する必要がある模様。

■国際宇宙ステーションへの補給フライト SpX-3 [ISS/JAXA]

SpX-3フライトでは、打上げ時に約2,254kgの物資が運搬され、帰還時には約1,623kgの物資が回収される予定です。

Falcon9 v1.1となり打ち上げ能力が強化されたことで搭載物資も大幅増となっています。今回の搭載物資の中にはロボノート2用の脚も。
